At some point, we all face emotional challenges that make coping difficult. I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) who has treated anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues (couples, teen-parent, parent-child, etc.) and other client issues since 1999. I am well know for my no-nonsense client-focused approach which incorporates humour, teaching new skills and learning new ways of thinking and being more joyful, deliberate and present in the world.
I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Image Transformation Therapy (ImTT), to help persons with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and many other issues. I also work with couples and families (14 years +) and am LGBTQ+ positive with special interest in transgender support.
The best predictor of success in counselling is a positive connection between the counsellor and the client. For this reason, you will always be greeted with a smile, a genuine interest in your thoughts and opinions, mutual goal setting, and a non-judgmental and helpful attitude throughout your counselling experience.
